Luc knows the ropes in the equestrian world. For nine years he was responsible for the organization of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales and the Limburg Foal Auction. For more than 7 years he was co-owner of the online marketing agency Newmore that specialized in the equine industry. In addition, he has produced young horses for many well-known horse professionals for over 17 years.

For Global Dressage Auction, he will use his experience to bring international exposure to the brand. His goal is to make the auction a platform known for it’s clarity and transparency.

As a former veterinarian, Marcel is completely at home in the world of breeding and embryo transfer. He was a true pioneer in the field of embryo transplantation and ICSI. His own H.E. Stables in Boxmeer is very successful with 25% of its breeding products at international FEI level. At Global Dressage Auction, he is responsible for the contact with buyers and sellers. He also writes the collection texts and investigates the dam-lines to mention everything buyers want to know.

With his veterinary knowledge and by getting all the breeding values and relevant information on the table, Marcel forms the important bridge between the buyers and the sellers.

Sophie Lourens – Van Leest

Coordination

Together with Abel Slippens, Sophie owns Stal ter Kwincke, allocated in Erp, a small village in the province of Brabant. Here she is mainly responsible for rearing the foals and youngsters. Sophie is a dressage rider at Subtop level. Sophie holds the reins and makes sure that the whole team is on the same page. Because Stal ter Kwincke regularly buys foals and horses at auctions, she knows better than anyone what is important to buyers.

Sophie is the silent force behind the scenes. She connects and ensures that Global Dressage Auction runs smoothly.

As an entrepreneur and breeder, Abel has a business- and market-oriented approach towards breeding. He runs Stal ter Kwincke together with Sophie Lourens – Van Leest and bred, among others, the approved Grand Prix stallion Bojengel and the KWPN accepted stallions Just for You and Louis ter Kwincke. He started the idea to set up Global Dressage Auction because of the lack of high-quality online auctions specializing in dressage, revolving around international involvement.

He uses his management experience to manage the team. His goal is to give buyers and sellers a good, reliable experience.

He has a nose for good dressage horses. His company Stal Poppelaars is a well-known name in the dressage scene. He is successful in breeding. His mares produced many international dressage horses and approved stallions. He learned the trade from his father Bert, who was elected KWPN Breeder of the Year in 2000.

Koos Poppelaars uses his knowledge and extensive worldwide network to bring together the best foals and embryos in our collections.
